The
Snohomish County Workforce Development Council
(WDC) invests money to increase the employability
of new and existing employees with in-demand
training programs. The WDC provides
Customized and On-the-Job Training funds to
local businesses for up to 50% of training
costs, potentially doubling the investment
employers are able to make in their employees.
These investments ensure that
jobs stay in Snohomish County and that our
local workers have the skills they need to
remain competitive in our rapidly changing
economy.
While
the WDC targets its investments in industries
identified as high growth, all businesses
are encouraged to apply for training funds.
Targeted industries include: Tourism
and Hospitality, Manufacturing, Biomedical/Biotechnology,
Education, Retail, Construction, Health Services,
Business Services, and Government.
Eligibility requirements may apply.
