Apprenticeships | Community College | Trade Schools

 

There are many paths that can be taken to find employment and to receive training in the construction industry. The apprenticeship programs are pathways to well paid journeyman positions and give the apprentice the opportunity to earn as they learn.  The State of Washington supervise all of the apprenticeship programs within the State.The community colleges in Snohomish County provide training in pre-apprenticeship job skills that can lead to direct entry into many of the apprenticeship programs.

Community Colleges

Community Colleges provide an important training resource for the construction industry. Course offerings range from pre-apprentice job skills training to Construction Management.

The listings below represent the Colleges primary focus but they all offer a number of classes directly related to the construction industry.

Trade Schools

There a number of trade schools that offer training programs for the construction industry. Many of the Unions in Western Washington use their facilities to provide their apprenticeship training

Apprenticeship programs

There is a strong demand for well trained journeymen in all of the construction trades. Employers are looking for individuals with good math skills and a strong work ethic. Take the sample math test and see if your math skills add up to becoming an apprentice.
