The IT industry looks strong for the near term Software
Companies have recovered to the levels prior to 9/11.
Bill Gates in a recent address to an annual Faculty Summit
in Redmond said that Microsoft cannot find enough college
graduates to fill the positions they have available and
that it is becoming a real concern to the Company. At
the same conference Maria Klawe Dean of Engineering at
Princeton University stated that popularity of Computer
Science as a major in the United States plummeted at least
60% in the years 2000 and 2004.
