Effective Resumes & Cover Letters
A winning resume and cover letter give you an edge in the job market. An effective resume is more than a work history. An effective resume and cover letter highlights and “advertises” your talents and experience. Learn how to develop effective resumes and cover letters with confidence by identifying, demonstrating and packaging the skills employers’ value. This workshop covers resume and cover letter formats, content, styles, and samples. At the end of the class, you will be better prepared to write your own resume and cover letters or to revamp your existing resume and cover letters. If you can, bring a copy of your paper resume for a quick critique. This is not a computer-based class and you will not be creating / editing your resume during this workshop.
