Unemployment Insurance

Finding the best career suited to your preferences and needs is important to us. Your WorkSource offers career guidance and assessment in many different ways. Some of these include the use of computers, books, and workshops or by meeting with someone one-on one.

Self Help

The Employment Security Department is making all Unemployment Insurance information and service available by telephone. Using the phone saves you time, gives you access to all the information you need, and gets your benefit checks and information to you quickly.

To apply for Unemployment Insurance Benefits, call the Unemployment Claims Telecenter.

The phone numbers are listed below:

  • Call 1-800-318-6022
  • Hearing or Speech impaired (TDD) 1-800-365-8969

Telecenter services are available in any language. If you can't speak English or Spanish, call the number shown above for your area, press 3, and you will be connected with an interpreter to help take your application for benefits.

You can apply for unemployment benefits on the Internet at www.go2ui.com if you:

  • Had no military wages in the last 18 months
  • Worked in only one state in the last 18 months
  • Have not applied for benefits in any state other than Washington in the last 12 months
