Overview
The Snohomish County Workforce Development Council invests in the following youth programs.
Work Readiness
Work Readiness provides on-site case management, work readiness instruction, academic instruction, paid work experience, on-the job training, job placement assistance and follow-up services to out-of-school youth. Assistance given to accessing other support services relating to housing, domestic issues, transportation, legal issues, physical/mental health, and substance abuse.

In-School Youth
Through a grant from Workforce Development Council Snohomish County, Marysville School District invests Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and other leveraged funds in a district-wide program focusing on dropout prevention, intervention and credit retrieval for qualifying at risk students. Students also receive work readiness, placement and retention services.
Granite Falls School District also invests Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and leveraged funds to provide dropout prevention, intervention and credit retrieval for qualifying at risk students in the Granite Falls, Lakewood, Arlington and Edmonds school districts. Students also receive work readiness, placement and retention services.
